Ms. Valeriya

I was born far, far away on the second smallest continent, in a country that no longer exists. Over the past 23 years, I have traveled the world, residing on four different continents, all the while accumulating both professional and life experiences. During this time, I’ve had the privilege of teaching English, German, and Russian to both children and adults.

For me, teaching has always meant more than merely imparting factual information about language structure and rules to my students. It’s about fostering in them a genuine love and enthusiasm for the language by sharing its cultural heritage and instilling the social skills necessary to fully embrace the language being learned. Learning a language transcends the memorization of facts on constructing a perfect phrase, an intriguing sentence, or an informative paragraph; it is about gaining profound understanding.

My daily aim for the FSB students is to ensure that they remain engaged in a diverse array of learning environments within and beyond the classroom, participating in both group and individual educational activities.

Parents of First Steps students can rest assured that the skills and knowledge their children are acquiring at school hold great value and purpose.
