Saskia

I was born in Düsseldorf, Germany, and spent my childhood and youth there. After completing my schooling, I undertook a social year in a hospice, where I gained profound insights into caring for people in challenging phases of life.

Afterwards, I travelled to South Africa and worked for 10 months in an orphanage. This experience brought me closer to the joy of working with children and adolescents, which motivated me to pursue a degree in Social Work.

During my internship, I had the unique opportunity to spend four months in Tondo, the largest low income neighbourhood in Manila, the Philippines. There, I worked closely with children from the community and gathered unforgettable experiences.

Upon completing my studies, I relocated to Malaysia, where I taught and mentored children and adolescents in an English institute. This international experience expanded my skills and horizons.

Since August 2023, I have been in Bangkok working with the children of the First Steps & FSB International School. I am excited to apply my passion and dedication to working with young people in this new environment and making a positive impact on their education and development.
