Ms. Kelly

I was born in Edinburgh, the capital city of Scotland and I graduated as a Paediatric Nurse in 2011. Over the course of my career, I have worked in several different departments; Intensive Care, High Dependency, Accident & Emergency and on Surgical and Medical Children’s wards. My teaching journey began in 2018 when I qualified as a TEFL teacher to start teaching in Vietnam. I have worked with Nursery aged children in local Vietnamese pre schools and international schools, as well as teaching children of all ages on online platforms. One of my main passions outside of my work is travel, and everything that the word encompasses, food, adventures, new languages, and new cultures. Sports are a huge part of my life, both watching and playing! I play football (soccer), rugby, and Gaelic football. I also enjoy going to the gym most days, and keeping fit and healthy. I believe in a holistic approach to Education. I want to meet not only the academic needs of my students, but also their social and emotional needs. I aim to make our classroom an inclusive place, where everybody feels loved, cared for, and supported in all aspects of their daily school life. Alongside this, runs my philosophy of making learning fun. Children are more engaged when they are actively participating and leading their own learning.
