Ms. Katherine

I grew up in the coastal town of Whitley Bay in the North of England and at 13 years old I went to live and train at The Legat School of Classical Ballet in Sussex, U.K. I spent the early part of my career as a professional dancer, teacher and choreographer. I performed in Asia and fell in love with Bangkok, and I always knew this was where I wanted my forever home to be!

I have over 20 years of teaching experience and have taught in Primary Schools in the U.K, Thai Schools and International Schools in Thailand and I have always felt passionate about teaching. In 2016, I decided to retrain to become a classroom practitioner as my dream was to work with young learners and return to Bangkok. I completed my B.A in Education at the IMSR in 2019, then my TESOL teaching certification at Chichester College. I completed my PGCEi in August 2022 from The University of Nottingham.

My favourite age group are early years children, and I feel my creative talents and energy fit perfectly with the needs of young learners. I firmly believe in child-centred learning and approaching each child as their unique and individual self whilst working with their strengths and interests to form memorable learning experiences.
