Ms. Bliss

I am from a small place called Leeds in the UK, much further north of London! I lived there all my life with my family, until making the move to Bangkok in 2015.

In 2006 I became a qualified Nursery Nurse and have been working in Early Years and education ever since. Starting my career in a private Day Nursery in the UK, before moving onto working in school settings in a variety of roles. I qualified as a teacher in 2012, completing my PGCE after my Bachelor’s degree in Early Years and Supporting Young People, Children & Families, beginning my teaching career in the UK, before moving to Thailand then Hong Kong. I recently finished a Masters in Psychology, where I looked at the impact of Covid on young children’s development. I am excited to share my findings and apply strategies to my current role.

During my time in Hong Kong, I was lucky enough to give birth to a beautiful baby girl. With her in mind, it nudged us to make the move back to Thailand. We love Thailand and it seemed natural to move back to such a warm and friendly place that is familiar to us. Although the way I spend my free time has changed since having a little one, I still love to travel and explore new places in Bangkok. I am pleased to be part of The First Steps community and I look forward to getting to know all the families.
