BACKGROUND:
I am a Thai national with British and Italian lineage. I have been educated in Singapore, England and at international schools in Bangkok. I then continued my studies abroad, holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing in 2007 and a Master’s Degree in Education specialising in Early Childhood Education in 2012. Following so, I obtained a Graduate Diploma in Teaching Profession in Thailand in 2020. I have been teaching Early Years at international schools in Bangkok for the past 12 years.
STRENGHTS:
I value creating a safe environment where challenging activities
are balanced with individualized learning experiences and
exploration. Observing intricate details of both verbal and
nonverbal cues is essential at this developmental level.
These key factors work well together to further children’s
growth and independence.
WHAT I LOVE ABOUT TEACHING:
Being able to see young learners achieve each and every one of their developmental milestones is truly rewarding as an Early Years educator. It is wonderful to be in a community with such a rich and diverse background of experiences where collaboration and teamwork play an important role in the school. Furthermore, I am proud to be part of a community that takes pride in creating a friendly environment where the teachers know most of the students at our school and not just those in their class.
MY APPROACH IN THE CLASSROOM:
From day one, establishing a positive and caring rapport with my students, and showing interest in their lives are elements that support success in the classroom. Recognizing that each child learns differently is vital for their social and academic growth. Additionally, establishing positive and open connections with parents supports children’s academic success and emotional well-being as well.
LOOKING AHEAD:
I look forward to incorporating the insights that students share with me and
using them to come up with hands-on, visually stimulating activities as they
are key to ensuring enthusiasm for learning continues.
