Mr. Alwyn

I was born in a small town in the north of the UK called Barnoldswick. At 18, I attended Edge Hill University in a town called Ormskirk, near Liverpool and studied Primary Education. After this I moved to Manchester to commence my teaching career, living here for 6 years in total. I worked in many schools and many different year groups across the city, taking part in different projects including Whole School Maths Development, Unicef Rights Respecting School Award and a mentoring role with The Children’s Society charity. During my time in Manchester I also studied for my NPQML middle leadership course.

In 2019 I moved to Bangkok and worked at Bromsgrove International School for 4 years as the Year 1 teacher. After 2 years I began the position of Assistant Head of campus and studied for my NPQSL senior leadership course which I completed in July 2023.

I love living in Bangkok and spend most of my time exploring new places in the city, travelling to different countries or islands and trying new food! I am now in my 5th year here and I have no plans to leave!

In my classroom I create a space for children to feel happy, safe, supported and excited about their learning. I build children’s independence as well as teaching the importance of working as a team. We always treat each other with kindness and respect to create a place where all children can learn and achieve their personal best.
