Ms. Dimengi

BACKGROUND:
I was born in France and raised in Libreville, Gabon. I spent 15 years at the Shell Gabon base camp, where I worked for six years at the company school and taught geography to 7th and 12th graders at the public school. In 2016, I moved to Princeton, NJ, where I worked as an administrative assistant at the French American School. Since moving to Bangkok in 2018, I have spent four years at Acacia Kindergarten. I hold a Master’s in Geography (with a focus on Economics), a BA in Education from Lyon 2 University, a Diploma in French as a Foreign Language, and certificates in Special Needs Education, Dyslexia Awareness, and Autism Awareness. I also have a qualification in Early Years Childhood. In December 2023, I started as a French teacher at First Steps Bangkok.

STRENGHTS:
I am all about creativity, always coming up with fun and imaginative ways to engage children in learning! With a focus on kindness and empathy, I make sure every child feels supported and valued. My goal is to create a healthy and challenging environment where children can grow, explore, and thrive!

WHAT I LOVE ABOUT TEACHING:
what I love about teaching is that it allows me to inspire curiosity and a love for learning in children everyday. Working in the school provides a vibrant and divers community where I can build meaningful relationships with students, colleagues, and families. I take great joy in seeing my students succeed, grow, and flourish, and I’m passionate about creating a supportive environment where everyone can thrive.

MY APPROACH IN THE CLASSROOM:
My approach in the classroom focuses on building confidence by actively involving children in their learning process, encouraging curiosity and independence. I set clear expectations, establish routines, and maintain effective communication with parents to create a supportive environment where every child feels empowered and motivated to reach their full potential.

LOOKING AHEAD:
This year, I aim to create an engaging and inclusive environment that fosters a love for learning and celebrates each child individuality. I will design activities that cater to different learning styles, ensuring every child feels values. Additionally, I hope to strengthen connections with families to enhance our community and enrich the children’s experiences.
