BACKGROUND:
I grew up in Hertfordshire, England, and studied Acneint History at the University of Nottingham for three years. After graduating, I worked in financal planning in London for year, which made me realise I wanted to pursue a career in teaching. I then went on to complete my QTS and PGCE in my hometown before moving to Thailand In 2022.
STRENGHTS:
I am passionate about making learning fun and engaging. I believe that incorporating diverse, interactive lessons captures students’ interest and encourages deeper learning. By creating a dynamic classroom environment, I aim to keep students motivated and help them develop a love for learning.
WHAT I LOVE ABOUT TEACHING:
What I love most about teaching is getting to know the children, learning about their unique personalities, and understanding their academic strengths and weaknesses. Being able to use this insight to support their growth and development throughout the year is incredibly rewarding.
MY APPROACH IN THE CLASSROOM:
I focus on building a nurturing, diverse, and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels respected and encouraged to participate. I believe that when students feel comfortable, they are more willing to take on challenges and engage in learning. I incorporate different teaching strategies to cater to varying learning styles and ensure that all students are given the opportunity to thrive and progress at their own pace.
LOOKING AHEAD:
I’m excited for a year of fun learning and new experiences with the children. I can’t wait to see how they grow and develop over the next year, both in their studies and as individuals. My aim is to foster an environment where they feel empowered to explore new ideas, build their confidence, and develop important skills. At the same time, I’m eager to continue improving as a teacher, ensuring I meet the needs of every child and support their progress throughout the year.
