BACKGROUND:
I come from Nice in the southeast of France and moved to Bangkok in July 2021.
After university with a Master’s Degree in Sport Management, I worked as a swimming teacher and tennis instructor. I have always enjoyed passing on my knowledge and my work with children. That’s why later, I decided to study, and I became a French teacher in 2022 (French Language Teaching Aptitude Diploma).
STRENGHTS:
I have been working with children for over 20 years now, which has helped me understand how to adapt my teaching based on unique needs of each child. I also help them develop global citizens, not just in terms of giving knowledge.
WHAT I LOVE ABOUT TEACHING:
I believe that school is a place where children should be encouraged to learn and discover the world, but also to socialize with others. That’s why communication is so important to me, so they feel heard and encouraged. Working at FSB is a real pleasure as this school really takes care of children and their development, by offering an environment conducive to their well-being.
MY APPROACH IN THE CLASSROOM:
At the beginning of the year, I establish a routine that helps students understand how the class works. Regularly, we cover the same themes as the British curriculum, which provides more meaning and involvment during lessons. I diversify the resources used as much as possible to keep their motivation. I also make sure to encourage student participation, to help them become more confident.
LOOKING AHEAD:
This year, I will do my best to improve their skills, finding a good balance between reading, listening and writing comprehension, while also developing their critical thinking and understanding of the world.
