Ms. Eve

BACKGROUND:
I grew up in a small town located between Sheffield and Nottingham. In 2013, I graduated with First-Class Honours in Television and Film Production from Ravensbourne College of Design and Communication in London. After gaining experience in the film industry, I soon realised it was not the right career path for me. I returned to the North and began working as a teaching assistant, where I discovered my passion for education. This led me to pursue a career in teaching, earning a PGCE in Primary Education from Sheffield Hallam University in 2016. Over the past eight years, I have gained extensive experience working in various schools across England. In addition to my commitment to education, I love to travel and immerse myself in new cultures. I now feel that the time is right to combine these two passions, and I am excited to continue my teaching career in Thailand.

STRENGHTS:
In my classroom, I strive to create an environment where every student feels supported, valued, and challenged. I am confident in delivering a fun and engaging curriculum that meets the diverse needs of all students. With extensive experience in teaching phonics and early reading strategies, I find it especially rewarding to foster a love of reading and literacy from an early age.

WHAT I LOVE ABOUT TEACHING:
I am passionate about teaching because it is incredibly rewarding to help children reach their full potential. This career allows me to be imaginative, creative, and even playful every day. I have the privilege of celebrating successes, providing encouragement after setbacks, and offering guidance when mistakes are made. What I value most about teaching is the opportunity it gives me to continue learning while sharing my knowledge and interests with my students.

MY APPROACH IN THE CLASSROOM:
I pride myself in my ability to make all children feel safe, supported and successful when they enter my classroom. I believe that children learn best when they are allowed to be themselves and feel comfortable enough to make mistakes. I strive to make my lessons fun and engaging while still providing opportunities for challenge and curiosity.

LOOKING AHEAD:
I am looking forward learning all about the children in my class. I am excited to learn about their interests, their goals, their aspirations and what makes them laugh. I am also looking forward to exploring more of Bangkok and finally getting to eat some authentic Thai food!
