I was born and raised in New Jersey, USA and graduated from Saint Joseph’s University in 2012.
I believe it’s important to bring education to all areas of the world so that everyone has an equal opportunity in life and so I volunteered in Honduras and Cambodia before moving to Bangkok in July 2014 where I’ve now been for over 6 years
I began my teaching at The First Steps in March of 2018 successfully helping to split the Rising 2s class as we expanded. I have also taught K1 and currently teach K2. I believe in supporting children to develop across all areas of learning and to follow their interests, however I specifically target language and communication development, fine and gross motor skills, and social and emotional growth.
I am a certified yoga teacher with many years of experience in exercise and mindfulness. There have been many studies on how mindfulness helps children with focus, anxiety, calmness, and even frustration. I use these tools in the classroom, focusing on breathing in times of frustration to help alleviate any overwhelming or excited feelings.
