I am originally from the Pacific Northwest in the USA, where I grew up camping and interacting with the beautiful nature around us. My hobbies are often centered around nature to this day, although I also have a love for reading and games of all kinds.
After graduating from university with a BA in Anthropology and a minor in TESOL, I decided to move to Taiwan to teach English. It was there that I developed my love and passion for teaching kindergarten, which sparked a motivation to teach in different cultures. I completed my Master of Education in Early Childhood Curriculum and Instruction and I have spent the last 14 years living and teaching in several different countries. Although I am grateful for each amazing cultural experience, Thailand has always felt more like home than anywhere else.
I’m lucky to have worked with many talented educators and at different international schools over the years, and as a result I have had the opportunity to teach a variety of different curriculum and teaching methods, including British Early Years, Montessori, Regio Emilia, and more.
My teaching style is full of energy, fun, and love, with a healthy dose of community and responsibility woven into daily life. I love the enthusiasm, creativity and passion of young learners, and my favourite part about teaching is giving them the tools they need to grow into happy, healthy individuals while learning to interact with and appreciate the world around them.
